Staying and looking young is not an easy task and a lot of woman are constantly looking for the latest wonder in beauty cream to stop then from looking older. Have you ever wondered how these creams work to help prevent people from looking older? 'Vitamin E' is a popular ingredient in anti-aging creams, because it slows down the chemical process called 'oxidation reduction reactions' in the cell membranes of human skin or other organic matter. We can test this with rose petals in the following science experiment:
STUFF YOU NEED [MATERIALS]
- 3x PLASTIC BAGS
- 3x ROSE PETALS
- TAP WATER
- MAGIC MARKER
- VITAMIN E CAPSULES
HOW TO PROCEED [PROCEDURE]
- Using a magic marker, label three 'ziploc' or similar plastic bags as follows: A: Air, B: Water, C: Vitamin E
- Look for three rose petals of similar size, appearance and health and place one of them in the bag labelled air.
