What’s it about?

Ever notice how you breathe faster and you heart beats faster when you run around or do any exercise? This happens automatically as your body requires more oxygen to make the energy you require to do these exercises.

You can find out how much faster your heart beats after exercising with the following simple science experiment. You can also take your pulse, but this is often difficult to find and is way less fun than taking your heartbeat with your own home made ‘stethoscope’:

The funnel around your heart will help to increase the sound by bouncing the sound waves continuously around against the walls of the funnel. The sound waves then travels down the air filled rubber tube by compressing the air inside the tube, without the ability to escape towards the other end with the funnel against your ear, where the sound is once again magnified as before.
